I thought terrorism is one big problem the whole world is facing right now. If you see what exactly is terrorism, no one can say. There is no universally accepted definition for terrorism.
If you take any kind of society at any time of history there are always these set of people with peculiar property that they dont want to follow rules and they dont like to be controlled by anyone. They have their own objectives and rules which they want everyone to follow in this world. They dont like the regulations or the governemet. There are a lot of good ways to achieve what they want but they want to take up the path of violence and arrogance to achieve what they want in their life. These set of people i define as terrorists and the actions what they do are called terrorism.
The world today has become so unpredictable that no one knows what could happen next. Now you are sitting and reading this blog and no one knows what is happening in some corner of this world where people are losing their life due to the effects of terrorism. Terrorism was once seen as a cause of disaster. Today it is something which is included in our day to day life. Everyday we open news paper, we either see bomb blast or war.
If you say that you want to fight out terrorism, i dont think it is possible. Because now the terrorists are not localised like how they used to be before. They have themselves become an organisation which is spreaded like the oceans all over the world. Their network is now really vast to fight out completely from the roots. All we can do is just to prevent the crime from happening. If you see crime prevention is always better than law enforcement. Because these terrorists always keep finding new technolgies which could be used in the war and attacks. Law enforcement is always 7 steps behind technology development. Only after some thing happens, we come up with a law that it is not allowed which makes no real sense.
The ways of fighting terrorism is to give them back the pain what they give to the innocent people. These terrorists have not learnt any other language other than violence. So only if we could speak to them in their own language and make them realise the value of life, they would understand. But again some countries claim that fighting against terrorism by war is again terrorism itself.
So there is no defined set of solution to eradicate terrorism completely. My thought is that if we could find out the objectives and motivations behind each terrorist organisation in the world and if we could plan and design some strategies based on that, it could do some little bit of work in controlling what might happen in the future.

well i disagree with givin bak d terrorists in der own terms....i dun think they r afraid f lives....i guess most or all of terrorist organisations r islamic n base their activities on islam.....ie they r against nethin n evrythin which s anti islamic

Its not like that.Even the soldiers are not scared of their life and that is why they go to border and fight. It is not about being scared of life or not. It is about realizing the value of life. Anyone who knows the value of it wont involve in taking away someone's life.

i personally believe that our education should be more humanistic rather than narrow and dogged one, so that our youths should discuss them more openly
religion is the sole reason for all the shit hapenin in th world. its a business, its a scam. rope in weak, poor, ready-to-exploit people who'll believe wotever yu tell em if yu provide religious reasoning and yu get terrorists & suicide bombers ready to kill and die.

I guess terrorism is something that will always be around as long as humans are around. Not a cheery thought.
hello angel. i read your entry about terrorism and am glad that someone as young as yourself is interested in the value of human life. well, that makes two of us. you are right, there is indeed no set definition for terrorism. it is another label for the "enemy". the problem with this is that no one is a terrorist until after the fact that they have murdered innocent people. this means that these crimes against humanity must be assessed on an individual basis and we should build our facts from there. we can not mindlessly label an entire segment of people as "terrorists" just because God made them to exist as they are is just plain wrong. when will the world ever learn. at least i'm glad that we have something in common that is infinitely more valuable than the topic of terrorism, the value of human life because if we build on the values, i am sure that pretty soon, terrorism itself will vanish from the face of our planet. peace, angel. always, eric
