Search For A Gift !

Hey i'm sure everyone of us would have been in a situation where we ask others or friends what kind of a gift you could buy for an occasion or your partner or anything ! I have myself Googled a lot to see if there are any suggestions that any site provides in gifting to my guy or to my parents on their wedding day ! I came across this site now which gives a gift guide to all of us. Any kind of a gift that you want to present can be found here. The page is kind of pre set with some situation which you could select on. For example you could select the gift based on the occasion such as Christmas, Wedding day or Easter etc. Also you could search the gifts based on the person or individual you would like to give it such as Gifts for dad, mom, babies, boy friend, husband or anyone !

I was just searching to get a gift for my guy and i came across this one where i clicked on gifts for men. It showed me a whole lot of categories which had gift items suitable for men. It included an electronic dart board, wallet, driving gloves, perfumes etc. I got a whole lot of ideas running on my mind and finally decided on getting him a sunglass !

Live Your Life So That You Will Have No Regrets

The article below is one of the best one i have ever read and it did inspire me a lot. I don't know if you would be inspired too. But worth giving it a shot !

When I was growing up, I remember my mother saying dozens of times, "Live your life so that at the end of it you'll have no regrets." She sure did. She was her city's first licensed female pilot, went alone in 1936 on a six-month bicycling tour of Europe, raised three girls and helped my dad build their retirement house. She did all the things she wanted to do and died at peace with her life in 2001 at age 88.

Living my life so I'd have "no regrets" was a lesson I took in and believed in. I saved dimes and quarters while paying my way through college to save for my own three-month tour of Europe. I've gone up in a hot-air balloon, traveled extensively, worked for good causes in my church and taught hundreds of children to read during my 23-plus-year career as a special education teacher for Massachusetts public schools.

My husband, David, and I raised three happy, productive children, all married now, and enjoy our eight grandchildren. I've been lucky enough to have had a supportive husband who has allowed me to live my life as I wanted to live it. He did double duty around the house when I went back to school to get my master's degree, watched nervously as I took a ride on a Harley and silently cringed when I insisted on going parasailing. He worriedly wished me bon voyage several times as I traveled far and wide during summers when he had to work.

I never worried, though, because I abide by this life-affirming passage I found a few years ago. This, I believe: "Everyone is dying all the time. Everyone is also living all the time. It's all in your perspective which one you're experiencing! Choose wisely." It's so much like my mother's advice. And it's helping me now.

Eight months ago, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with colon cancer. Since then, I've had surgeries and several rounds of chemotherapy. Statistics say I have about another year to live. Maybe I do, or maybe I'll have more. No matter: I refuse to let cancer change my philosophy. When I feel well, I pack in as many experiences as I can. I visit friends, travel, laugh, read wonderful novels, play with our grandchildren and cherish those I love.

I believe in living my life. At some point -- hopefully much later than the doctors predict -- I'll feel too poor to enjoy what used to give me pleasure. Then, I hope to do just as my mother did. I'll reminisce with family and friends about my wonderful life experiences. I'll savor my memories. And I'll say to anyone who'll listen, "I believe you should live your life so that at the end of it you will have no regrets."

I know how amazing and addictive video games are. Its not a fact that it is so only in case of the kids but i have also come across people in fact adults and professionals who have been addicted to the video games. We all still see people buying video games in the shopping centers whenever a new game or series is introduced. Well just imagine how easy it would be if we could buy all those games we wanted just from the place where we are. Wouldn't that be so amazing? Well yeah now you can get whatever you want through this site which sells video games online. I was taken back by the entire collection of games that they had - new, old, action and sports and everything that you name.

They also display those play station especially the Sony PS3 which is a major hit all across the globe. You could definitely consider buying a few of them here in this site. I saw some of my favorite games such as the Star wars, Guitar Hero, Mario and Drawn to Life. Its the best thing that i have come across in my games life and it really created a lot of interest in me to buy some stuff here. Would you like to check it out?

Funny English

English is such a funny and difficult language to learn. Beware to use right words when people are around you or you could see the day of your life. For some funny instances look below :

The business mind !

The businessman was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna.The businessman complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them. The Mexican replied only a little while.The businessman then asked why he didn't stay out longer and catch more fish? The Mexican said he had enough to support his family's immediate needs. The businessman then asked, but what do you do with the rest of your time? The Mexican fisherman said, "I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take a siesta with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine and play guitar with my amigos; I have a full and busy life, señor."The businessman scoffed, "I am a Harvard MBA and I could help you. You should spend more time fishing and with the proceeds buy a bigger boat. With the proceeds from the bigger boat you could buy several boats; eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman, you would sell directly to the processor and eventually open your own cannery. You would control the product, processing and distribution. You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually New York City where you would run your expanding enterprise."


The Mexican fisherman asked, "But señor, how long will this all take?" To which the businessman replied, "15-20 years." "But what then, señor?" The businessman laughed and said, "That's the best part! When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich. You would make millions." "Millions, señor? Then what?" The businessman said, "Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take a siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos."

The fisherman, still smiling, looked up and said, "Isn't that what I'm doing right now?"

Terrorism - My view

Hi guys,
I thought terrorism is one big problem the whole world is facing right now. If you see what exactly is terrorism, no one can say. There is no universally accepted definition for terrorism.

If you take any kind of society at any time of history there are always these set of people with peculiar property that they dont want to follow rules and they dont like to be controlled by anyone. They have their own objectives and rules which they want everyone to follow in this world. They dont like the regulations or the governemet. There are a lot of good ways to achieve what they want but they want to take up the path of violence and arrogance to achieve what they want in their life. These set of people i define as terrorists and the actions what they do are called terrorism.

The world today has become so unpredictable that no one knows what could happen next. Now you are sitting and reading this blog and no one knows what is happening in some corner of this world where people are losing their life due to the effects of terrorism. Terrorism was once seen as a cause of disaster. Today it is something which is included in our day to day life. Everyday we open news paper, we either see bomb blast or war.

If you say that you want to fight out terrorism, i dont think it is possible. Because now the terrorists are not localised like how they used to be before. They have themselves become an organisation which is spreaded like the oceans all over the world. Their network is now really vast to fight out completely from the roots. All we can do is just to prevent the crime from happening. If you see crime prevention is always better than law enforcement. Because these terrorists always keep finding new technolgies which could be used in the war and attacks. Law enforcement is always 7 steps behind technology development. Only after some thing happens, we come up with a law that it is not allowed which makes no real sense.

The ways of fighting terrorism is to give them back the pain what they give to the innocent people. These terrorists have not learnt any other language other than violence. So only if we could speak to them in their own language and make them realise the value of life, they would understand. But again some countries claim that fighting against terrorism by war is again terrorism itself.

So there is no defined set of solution to eradicate terrorism completely. My thought is that if we could find out the objectives and motivations behind each terrorist organisation in the world and if we could plan and design some strategies based on that, it could do some little bit of work in controlling what might happen in the future.

My changes in this world

If you were super human or something you believe which has more power to change the world and things in it, what do you think you would change ?

Last night i was on bed and i dint catch sleep quickly as i used to. I had this strange thought running in my mind and i was counting on things i dont like. I wish i had a power to replace all my dislikes and things which are bad to this world.
May be if god asked me what i would want for myself or would allow me to change the world setup, i would quickly do the following.

P.S : Not necessarily in the written order !!

• I would remove poverty and illiteracy
• Make the world greener
• Bring down the sky
• Build myself a house in amazon forest
• Give back existence to dinosaurs
• Remove social status
• Lower the sky and stars that everyone can touch
• Visit to an island where no one lives. Only me and the oceans
• A week stay inside the pyramid
• A boat house stay at the night
• Golden touch like midas :-D
• A house with all my friends
• A very happy life to myself and everyone

Self Defense For Women

In this world everything is so unpredictable. You never know what could happen to you. It is always good to equip yourself to fight against anything and anyone in this world at anytime. You never know when the tricks that you learnt could become handy and save you from a life losing situation. I have attended few self defense classes when i was young. Me and my friend used to go. She continued going but i had to stop because of few reasons.

Recently my friend came up with an incident when she had to leave the work place little late. So she locked it up and she was walkign towards the car park, when 2 guys came from some where and tried to grab her. One guy had locked her from behind and the other guy was trying to take her purse off. She said she would have died if not she remembered those self defense moves which she learnt. She hit the guy standing behind hard on his neck which made him hold and sit back. Then the guy in front tried to threaten her with a knife if she doesnt give money. For this guy she had to tackle in some other way and she some how knocked them both down. She then ran away fast from that place before they could recover. She told me that she could hit them with so much force and pain that they were still suffering down in pain. She was really thankfull for the self defense tricks which she learnt.

I have now decided to join the class again, because you never know when i would be held on a knife edge or life point.

My First Love

Hi guys !

Im sure everyone had felt their love at some point of time in their life. It could even be when you were in 4th grade or even when you were at university or work place. This feeling is something which everyone would surely come across in their life. I came across as well.

It was around 8 years back. I had a very close friend named john. He was the heart throb of my school and all the girls would go gaga over him. Every pretty girl fell for him and i was not spared. He was extremely hot and he studies well. He is very smart and brilliant. It was the day we all came back to school after the summer holidays. This time we heard a news that there is going to be shuffling among the students of various sections for some reason. John was not in my section. I was seperated from my friends and i had to move to another section were i hardly knew few of them. I was sitting and the introduction classes were going on when John came and asked if he could come in. I could not believe it and i watched him pass by me and sit in the last desk slot. I could see every girl being glad that he has come to our section. Everyone's head was turning back and watching him sit though teacher was still on the dias. The classes started and it was time for art work. Luckily i was paired with john and we were asked to do something creative. John came up with an idea that we could do an art with handprints and thumb impressions. I acted like i dint know what was that. Then he held my hand and made me do some colors with the thumb print. I knew i have fallen for him. I dint know if i should tell him about this. I was very nervous every time he came close to me. I heard a lot of voices in my head which forced me to talk to him. But stil i was scared and my nerves were holding me back.

All other girls in my class were more social and they could very easily talk to John except me. I dint know why i was behaving so wierd. Then one fine day it was rose day celeberation where anyone could express their feelings by giving a rose to the person they like. I got roses for John and i went to him and i told him whatever i felt. I was scared what he would say. He smiled and accepted mine. I couldnt believe. My eyes were wetted by tears which were about to roll down to my cheeks. But i dint want to show up before him. He then held my hand and we were walking towards the stores. I was on top of the world. I can see every girl getting jealous about me. I dint care. I met him a lot of times after that and we were really close and happy.

A day then came that he had to quit his schooling and go to Australia because his dad fell ill. I never had a heart to let him go off me. But he said he dint have any other solution. Soon after he left to australia, my schooling got over and it was summer holidays again. This time my parents decided to change my school as my dad had a shift in his job. I had to move out of the city. I lost all the touch which i could have with him. I was pathless. I dint know what to do. Soon after i moved from the place i realised that the feelings for him should change or else i would get spoiled for myself. It has been so long and now more than 8 years, still i wish i could meet him back again. Even if not i have learnt to carry on with my own life. Well you can never get everything you wanted in life. But we can certainly learn to live with what we get :-)
